Abstract | Sullivan and McConnell discuss the learning outcomes of American higher education students. The Essential Learning Outcomes represent expectations of parents, policy makers, employers, and students themselves regarding student performance and college learning outcomes. The Association of American Colleges & Universities is leading the way to a new world in higher education where members can assess even higher-order student learning in ways that respect the complexity of what they do and what they need students to learn. |
