Abstract	In this article, the author reflects on the paper she delivered almost 20 years ago, "Poor Women in Psychological Research: Shut Up and Shut Out." She looks back and provides some context for the ideas which were presented in what originated as her presidential address for the American Psychological Association's (APA) Division 35: Division on the Psychology of Women (now known as the Society for the Psychology of Women). Upon reflection, she found that many of the issues and concerns that she had originally raised had been addressed, but that psychological research on poor and marginalized populations is still very much a "work in progress."
