Abstract | This year has been a very frustrating year for career and technical education (CTE) advocates across the country. They have experienced significant funding reductions for the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act (Perkins), not to mention the cuts in state and local CTE funding. The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) outlines the importance of advocacy during these pressing economic times, when education funding continues to steadily decline. The article outlines the dos and don'ts of effective advocacy and how educators can make a difference. (ERIC). |
