Abstract | This article describes a set of strategies for including children with autism in circle time. Successful inclusion involves careful planning, collaboration, and consideration of individual needs. Circle time can be a positive activity for children with autism when individual needs and strengths are considered. Environmental modifications and accommodations are selected in collaboration with the child's team and based on individual strengths and needs. Additional examinations of successful circle time accommodations for young children with autism are encouraged, particularly across children from various cultural backgrounds and with a variety of language repertoires.
