Abstract | The philosophies behind teachers education programs and the classrooms where their students have their field experiences may be very different, especially in elementary classrooms since passage of NCLB. For students at Berea College, an institution with a unique history and mission, the disconnect can interfere with the prospective teacher's learning. To overcome this, the college is building a Community of Teachers that allows like-minded teachers in diverse locations to mentor Berea's students. (As Provided). |
