Abstract | This article provides a forum for students to share their experiences and lessons learned from English class about working with other people. The first author thinks it is a good idea to have split-level classes because it opens up new opportunities to meet people and teaches one many good lessons about working with other people. The second author states that working with other people creates many lessons people use in the future. Some positive ideas the author has learned from English classes are treat others the way one wants to be treated, make a good first impression, and four brains are better than one. The third author shares that English class has taught her more than just a new vocabulary; it has taught her how to work with other people. The fourth author stresses that many of the practices done in the past two years of his English class have improved his social skills with his classmates exponentially. Finally, the fifth author shares that the most useful life skills that he has learned in English class are teamwork, leadership, and patience. (ERIC). |
