AbstractPractica, internships, and mentorships are vital for the development of capable and productive graduates of preprofessional academic programs, including sports management and sports administration programs. College students with disabilities, including those in sports management and sports administration programs, who are preparing to enter their professional careers, face all of the challenges of entry into the job setting and may also have other issues that add to the difficulty of their transition. Faculty and staff who are in charge of sports management internship programs may find it difficult to provide proper services and accommodations. The purpose of this article is to provide a brief overview of relevant laws and requirements related to students with disabilities, as well as to discuss some of the best practices for providing the accommodations and supports necessary for creating the best educational outcomes for sports administration students with disabilities.
