Abstract | This review shows how the Internet can support learning about the process of internationalization. A description of how Internet-based sources of information can be used by students when investigating internationalization has not been made. However, the Internet and its role during a corporation's foreign market expansion has not been investigated on a conceptual level (Petersen, Welch, & Liesch, 2002). Furthermore, Internet information sources have been researched in narrow international business sectors (Mayfield, Mayfield, & Kohl, 2005). In this article the author describes in detail how students can gain firsthand knowledge of internationalization and an appreciation of the important role that Internet-based information plays during that process.
