Abstract | Nicholas Colangelo is the Myron and Jacqueline Blank Professor of Gifted Education at the University of Iowa. He also is director of the Connie Belin and Jacqueline N. Blank International Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development. He is author of numerous articles on counseling gifted students and the affective development of the gifted. In this interview, Colangelo talks about what led him to the field of gifted education and some of the most important lessons he learned from a mentor. He also talks about some of the challenges of setting up an internationally renowned center, and important questions that studies can address. (ERIC). |
