| Abstract | In 2005, the staff at "Instruction" magazine conducted a survey to know the individuals who are most admired for their contributions to the field of education. This article presents the brief profiles of these individuals. These celebrities, authors, and teachers include Mel Levine, Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, Jonathan Kozol, Marilyn Burns, Alfie Kohn, Laura Bush, Harry Wong and many more. This article also presents these individuals' philosophy, advice to teachers, and descriptions of their pro-teacher platforms. (ERIC). |
