Abstract	Education is one of the most important subsystems of the social sphere, enabling the individual to acquire systematized knowledge, abilities, and skills for the purpose of making effective use of them in professional activity. The system of education is a complex social, economic, scientific, and technological component of the national economy of Russia. This article provides a summary of figures reflecting the scenarios of higher education in Russia from 1990 to 2025. To make a complete analysis of Russian education, this article summarizes the substantial changes in the structure of the economically active population of Russia. This article also cites the key problems faced by the higher economic education in Russia. (Contains 3 tables and 7 figures.) (ERIC).
