Abstract | As electronic portfolios become institutionalized in undergraduate education, it is imperative to understand the types of evidence students select to represent attainment of identified learning outcomes. This article presents an action research inquiry, which analyzes 26 completed graduation portfolios, to determine the type of artifacts selected to demonstrate achievement of six learning outcomes. The author states, that integrating portfolio assessment at the beginning of an undergraduate education program allows learners to reflect on their entire academic preparation. Thus, she states that with the potential of electronic portfolios, preservice professionals can continue to build on existing works by replacing artifacts as they gain new experiences in professional practice.
