| Abstract | Evaluated contributions of birth status (gestational age and birthweight) and family adversity at birth and at age 7 to explain behavior problems at age 7. Found significant relationships between birth status and isolation, social withdrawal problems, social immaturity, and inattention. Family adversity at birth contributed to aggression reported by three sources whereas, at age 7, this index related only to parent-reported aggression and social immaturity. (Author/KB) |
