Abstract | Studied the classroom language assessment component of the Hong Kong English language benchmark test for lower secondary teachers of English as a Second Language. Videotapes of 10 trainee teachers show that variation in grades may be attributable to individual teacher performance rather than external factors such as student ability. (SLD) |
