Abstract | This article describes the Early Childhood Special Education Program at Johns Hopkins University with emphasis on the program's use of student-selected mentors to provide ongoing guidance and support to students. Outcomes include early development of a professional support network, development by mentors of additional sites for field experiences, and job offers by mentors to several proteges.
