Abstract | Examined the value of an instructional talk analysis tool (ITAT) in developing teachers' awareness of their instructional talk. Fifteen students from a reading practicum course participated in either ITAT plus debriefing, ITAT only, or alternative tool only. Discourse analyses and written reflections indicated that ITAT plus debriefing teachers provided more accurate assessments of their talk performance and were more reflective. (SM) |
