Abstract | Comparison of a survey of agriculture journalists in 1988 (n=148) and 1998 (n=151) examined power relationships within the agricultural publishing triad: advertisers, periodicals, and producer readers. Results revealed increasing advertiser-related pressure on journalists and perceived harm to the profession, publication policies; responses varied according to gender and age.
