AbstractSpringfield College, Massachusetts, developed a collaboration with adjacent public schools and neighborhoods. The college's philosophy provides the foundation for expanding curricular and co-curricular activities that are components of collaborative efforts with the community. This article presents an overview of the college's humanistic philosophy, its history of outreach, the development of the college-community collaborative efforts, and results of those efforts. (SM)
