Abstract | Examines differences in the career self-efficacy, self-esteem, and attitudes toward feminism, and developmental environments of 135 women in traditional and nontraditional science majors. Results show no differences in career self-efficacy or attitudes toward feminism and self esteem, although nursing students showed higher self-esteem. Findings indicate self- and other-imposed barriers among traditional science majors, and more external barriers for nontraditional science majors. (Author/MKA) |
