Abstract | Investigated relationships between school and social factors, reported on the Illinois School Report Card, and student achievement, indicated on the Illinois Goal Assessment Program (IGAP). All of the independent variables except high school per-pupil expenditures significantly related to achievement scores. A school's IGAP achievement score was more a function of its demographic and socioeconomic status than of its effectiveness. (SM) |
