Abstract | The reauthorization of the Perkins vocational-education legislation in 1998 brings new requirements for data collection and reporting by state departments of education. The new accountability framework includes four core indicators: student attainment, credential attainment, placement and retention, and participation in/completion of nontraditional programs. (JOW) |
