Abstract | Identifies three curriculum orientations in African-American adult education: multicultural/social reconstructionist, self-ethnic liberatory/empowerment, and accommodation/subordinate. The interpretive model compares these three orientations on the seven principles of an Africentric world view as a means of selecting and critiquing African-American content in adult education.
