Abstract | The College and University Personnel Association annual survey found most college administrators received a smaller pay raise in 1996-97 than in the previous two years though most outpaced inflation. Smallest raises were at doctoral institutions and among chief executives; largest were in specialized institutions such as freestanding professional schools. Only 14 of 170 positions had median salaries over $100,000. (MSE) |
