Abstract | Surveys of 300 preservice teachers at Kutztown University (Pennsylvania) on their beliefs about urban students, urban environments, teachers' roles, and teacher qualities indicated a predisposition toward urban teaching in many students who could detail diversity issues, though incongruencies existed in attitudes and beliefs essential to the task.
