Abstract | Development of a preservice teacher education program based on values shared by faculty and student representatives is illustrated by a two-day seminar of faculty and students at the University of Malta. Traditions in initial teacher education were reviewed and characteristics of the good teacher were identified and related to implicit values. Implications for course and curriculum development are drawn. (DB) |
