Abstract | Considered a "peripheral" nationality even at home, Maltese immigrants in Toronto are further marginalized. Organized adult education offers few opportunities to affirm community identity and bridge cultures. Community-based education should offer Maltese and English instruction, critical literacy, and interaction and dialogue with other groups. (SK) |
