Abstract | Presents rational, adaptive, and naive expectations models of the occupational choice of students in vocational and technical schools, using regression techniques. No single model outperformed the other two. Students were responsive to opportunity cost but not necessarily to level of demand. Student choice appears to be influenced by parental occupations and attitudes toward vocational and technical education. (15 references) (MLH) |
