Abstract | Surveys of over 12,000 Colombian and Tanzanian high school seniors plus 3-year follow-up found that, compared to standard (academic) curricula, diversified (academic plus vocational) curricula were costly and difficult to implement; increased lower-class enrollments; increased academic achievement (in Colombia); had little effect on employment potential or earnings; and did not dissuade students from pursuing higher education.
