Abstract | Presents results of a study to determine whether particular schools in desegregating districts were disproportionate contributors to declines in white enrollment during desegregation. Suggests that proportions of African-American and Hispanic pupils and the implementation of minor desegregation programs are all associated with decreased white enrollment. Concludes that desegregation does not prompt resegregation. (DK) |
