Abstract | Results of a survey of historically Black colleges' teacher education student recruitment and retention strategies are reported. Two programs that enhance minority teacher training are discussed. The Southern Regional Education Board Project seeks to improve minority standardized test pass rates; the Teaching Effectiveness Network promotes teacher education improvement in Maryland. (IAH) |
