Abstract | Implications for the school curriculum in Great Britain of policies designed to maximize the economic welfare obtainable from education spending are analyzed. The maximization of economic welfare will not be achieved by designing a curriculum more appropriate to industry's needs, but by increasing the degree of choice available to learners. (RM) |
