Abstract | Walsh University's process of seeking more effective assessment practices has identified an overarching theme of university-wide continuous improvement resulting in several initiatives. The categories of these initiatives can be described as new formats in leadership, unique and collaborative improvements across campus, strategies in alignment with the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment (NILOA 2011) transparency framework, creating more organized and formal assessment plans, course development and connection with adult learners, innovative impacts to increase communication, and future plans in assessment. The driving force for embarking on this journey is ultimately student success. This article describes this journey to more effective assessment practices. (ERIC). |
