Abstract | School psychology is at a critical juncture where thoughtful, strategic, and collaborative strategies to remedy shortages must become a focus for all, no matter what setting or role. Successful initiatives exist in school districts, states, and other professions. Valuable lessons can be drawn from others regarding effective strategies that could be adapted and replicated in other states or roles if lessons are shared. The work of remedying shortages is not just the priority for NASP and state school psychology associations. It is a priority that all must embrace. A rising tide lifts all boats, and it's time to get on board. This article discusses factors contributing to shortages, tackling root causes, and other strategies. (ERIC). |
