Abstract | School counselors' attitudes, attributes, and self-efficacy levels while working with individuals living in poverty were examined using quantitative measures. Qualitative measures were used to assess challenges and recommendations of participants working with students impacted by poverty. Findings indicate school counselors' rate personal deficiencies higher regarding their attitudes toward individuals living in poverty and rated fatalistic causes higher for explaining causes of poverty.
