Abstract | This article discusses how the divisive rhetoric of presidential candidate Donald Trump presents a challenge for teachers covering the presidential primaries in their classrooms. This article discusses democracy and the challenge of demagoguery, as well as pedagogical issues that teachers face while teaching in the time of Trump. The article shares approaches that can be taken with students regarding the topic of causal origins of Trump's rhetoric. (ERIC). |
