| Abstract | The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of anxiety sensitivity in adolescents on childhood depression and anxiety disorder. Mood disorders and anxiety disorders in children and adolescents can be given examples of important research topics in recent years. The participants of the study consist of 670 students in Erzurum city. The data were collected through anxiety sensitivity index and anxiety and depression index for children and adolescents. For data analysis, correlation analysis and structural equation model were used. The results revealed that anxiety sensitivity impacts anxiety disorder and childhood depression through direct and indirect effects in a positive way. The results are discussed in line with the relevant literature. (As Provided). |
