Abstract | The purpose of this manuscript was to systematically review the literature on the use of portable smart devices in teaching students with intellectual disability functional skills. Eighteen empirical studies were identified and summarized. This review especially focused on which devices were included and how these devices were used to teach home-, school-, community-, and job-related skills to this population. Percentage of non-overlapping data (PND) was calculated to quantify the effects of using portable smart devices. (As Provided). |
