Abstract | Preparing academic faculty to engage in global collaborative and interdisciplinary research is a strategic component of internationalization goals for higher education institutions. However, programs supporting global faculty engagement and their effectiveness in supporting international research partnerships need to be documented and communicated. Using the Academy for Global Engagement fellowship as a case study, backed by a mixed-methods evaluation approach (bibliometrics and survey) and select research metrics, we provide evidence showing the positive impact of global professional development programs on academic faculty. This research may serve as a reference for other universities and research organizations to develop and assess similar faculty programs. (As Provided). |
