AbstractBullying is a serious problem with long-term and short-term negative effects on both victims and perpetrators. Many bullying-prevention programs have been developed on the basis of peer support and social learning theories. The purpose of this study was to develop an antibullying program consisting of a short video and to survey the effectiveness of the video. Authors used a two-group quasi-experimental design using a pretest, posttest, and follow-up test. Subjects were 357 elementary school students, divided into intervention and comparison groups. The results of the bullying quiz revealed that the intervention group had significantly greater knowledge about bullying than the comparison group. In addition, students' knowledge was greater at posttest and follow-up test than at pretest. Scores for the follow-up test, however, were lower than those for the posttest. The next step forward would be the development of a program with a more sustained effect. (As Provided).
