Abstract | While this paper discusses the history of neoliberalism with emphasis on the role of the United States, it also addresses the challenges neoliberalism poses for individuals. Additionally, the paper discusses the failure of school curriculum to prepare youth in the United States for growing economic uncertainty, as well as media's role in hindering their political and economic understanding. This essay recognizes the great need for critical media literacy's inclusion in the official curriculum as a source of disambiguation. (As Provided). |
