Abstract | Using a phenomenological approach, rooted in critical theory's desire to challenge systemic structures of inequality, we explored the impact of racialized hate encountered on social media by students of color at a predominately White institution. The encounters of racialized hostility manifested as anti-Black sentiments and produced racial battle fatigue, cultural paranoia, and student calls for antiracist interventions. These findings suggest that "racialized aggression" is an appropriate framework to interpret racialized online hostilities. (As Provided). |
