Abstract | Technical and Vocational Education as enshrined in the Nigeria National Policy on Education is used as a comprehensive term referring to those aspects of the educational process involving, in addition to general education, the study of technologies and related sciences and the acquisition of practical skills, attitudes, understanding and knowledge relating to occupations in various sectors of economic and social life. Therefore, in order to cope with the requirements of a sustainable youth empowerment challenges in Nigeria, vocational and technical education should be re-engineered, re-assessed and made compatible with the needs of the society. There is also the need to expand the discipline to accommodate other occupational and professional areas of interest. (As Provided). |
