Abstract | The overall aim of the project is to allow for the collaboration of high school students of different European countries on small, selected maths topics. This involves the use of technology, student mobility and English language competency. Benefits are also expected to accrue to teachers of mathematics by providing the opportunity to work with up-to-date software and collaborate with teachers in different education systems across countries. During the project, students and teachers use the e-learning platform Moodle and the Maths software M@th Desktop as e-learning tools. An example of a collaboration between Dublin, Ireland and Mikolow, Poland explains in detail the process of e-learning together. An accurate evaluation of the project's first year includes the 138 participating students' opinions towards the use of the software, their perception of the project and their cultural experiences. This Comenius project is funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Commission, Contract No: 2011-1-CZ-COM06-071493. (As Provided). |
