Abstract | This quick guide presents resources for clinicians on evidence-based approaches for assessing and treating depression. It also briefly describes the mood disorder module of the clinician administered Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV Axis I Disorders, treatment approaches, and new and emerging developments demonstrating the effectiveness of Internet-based programs both to prevent depression and treat currently depressed individuals.
