Abstract	Keeping students in the classroom so that they are engaged with their teachers is a struggle. Students have many distractions in their lives other than school. When students are disruptive in the classroom the code of conduct or student handbook dictates the student's punishment. These are the zero-tolerance policies established in 1994 (Evans & Vaandering, 2016). Research shows that providing students with restorative justice helps them to be able to learn from their mistakes, build relationships, and reconcile with their peers and teachers (Evans & Vaandering, 2016; Maynard & Weinstein, 2020). So, how can using the counseling form from the U.S. Army be modified and used as an intervention form to help reduce student suspensions (Center for Army Leadership, Mission Command Center of Excellence, 2014).
