AbstractThe current study applies a qualitative research design to explore the perceptions of curriculum and technology leaders in regards to the integration of 1:1 technology into the written curriculum within their respective districts. The current study reviewed the thinking of curriculum and technology leaders separately to look for similarities and differences in their thinking. The emergence of 1:1 technology in the K-12 sector has been a field of significant interest; however, the implementation of the programs varies widely from district to district. The current study interviewed curriculum or technology leaders in a small, medium, and large district to determine their perspectives on the successful implementation of a 1:1 program within the curriculum of the district. Both curriculum and technology leaders believed that collaboration was essential between the two groups and that technology was needed for future student success. However, some differences emerged in their feelings about the role of technology, the alignment of their work, and the meaningful implementation of technology.
