Abstract | The goal of this toolkit is to give educators and school leaders the tools that they need to prevent bullying and harassment by fostering a positive school climate. This package is meant to be used as a guide for teachers and administrators in their work to develop a safe and healthy school climate and, in the process, prevent bullying and harassment in their school community. Specifically, this package aims to provide educators and school leaders with: (1) Research and background information on bullying and harassment in schools; (2) Strategies and recommendations for improving school climate that can be implemented in their schools, classrooms, and communities; (3) Guidance on how to use local data to drive action planning; and (4) Guidance on how to support students who may be particularly vulnerable to direct involvement with bullying and harassment.
