Abstract | The "IDRA Newsletter" serves as a vehicle for communication with educators, school board members, decision-makers, parents, and the general public concerning the educational needs of all children across the United States. The focus of this issue is "Education Policy Issues in Texas & Georgia." Contents include: (1) What to Expect from Bids to Take Public Money Out of Public Schools (Diana Long); (2) Remove Obstacles to Ethnic Studies for Georgia Students (Ruth Youn); (3) Traditional School Discipline is Harmful for All (Alisha Tuff); (4) Georgia Students Deserve a 21st Century Education for the Multicultural and Multilingual Future (Jonathan Peraza Campos); (5) Dual Credit Programs Give Students a Fighting Chance to Access and Succeed in College (Steve Kemgang); and (6) Black History Month Features.
