AbstractFunding the important work of teachers can be supported through a variety of federal programs, private foundations, and state legislative appropriations. This guide identifies potential funding that can be leveraged by state education agencies (SEAs), local education agencies (LEAs), and educator preparation providers to address teacher professional growth and talent development across the full educator career continuum, from attracting and preparing candidates to retaining teachers in the profession. The first section provides a high-level snapshot of federal funding availability that is aligned to the Center on Great Teachers and Leaders' (GTL Center's) Talent Development Framework. The section that follows provides specific details, including eligibility requirements, mechanisms to apply or use the funding, informational resources, and the specific activities authorized within the funding stream.
