Abstract | Professors' teaching styles can have an effect on students' learning abilities. Identifying the appropriate teaching style to promote maximum student learning continues to remain an area to research. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of professors' teaching styles and students' learning styles on achievement in a college classroom. This study used a mixed method, explanatory correlational design with quantitative survey research and qualitative open-ended question on the survey. Data was collected to understand the effect of professors' teaching styles and students' learning styles on achievement in a college classroom, by using professors' teaching style surveys, students' learning styles survey, the students' final grades, and students' standard evaluations of the professors, including satisfaction in the classroom. The finding in this study determined that professors' teaching styles have a strong significant effect on students' satisfaction in the classroom and are connected to students' achievement in the college classroom.
